Polish Delegation At GDS Prague 2025
We welcome a number of special guests from Poland at GDS Prague 2025!
On behalf of the organizing team of GDS Prague 2025 we are pleased to welcome the Polish delegation to the conference. Their participation reflects the growing professional cooperation between the Polish and Czech game development sectors.
For 20 years in the game industry and 12 years supporting Polish developers as organizer of GIC and a key figure in IGP. Grew GIC from a student event into Europe’s largest. Author of The Game Industry of Poland reports and many studies. Frequent speaker and jury member. Honored with the Minister of Culture’s award. Since 2024 on the board of EGDF. Researcher at PUT focused on AI/ML in gamedev and lecturer in game design.
The presence of the representatives underscores the importance of continued collaboration and exchange of experience within the Central European region.
The organizers would also like to acknowledge the contribution of the Polish Institute in Prague, whose long-term activities play an essential role in supporting cross-border cooperation and facilitating the development of cultural and professional ties between both countries.

Fighting Dreamers
Ways of narration: Old narrative tropes unexplored even today. Players love things that are familiar yet somehow unknown. But have you asked yourself: What is the unknown to the modern world? During the talk, you will learn multiple tropes in narration that intrigued us were called innovative yet we don't see them present in most of the games. This tool might give you leverage to check if your game has something unique to offer or create new ideas based on the presented thinking patterns. I have worked both in small indie companies and AAA companies since 2017. Co-creator of the Gamedevowe Pogaduchy initiative, which integrates the Polish community. Advisory Board member for Game Industry Conference (GIC). Always keen to promote the game dev industry to new generations and help the broken, the beaten and the damned. Passionate about exploring new and original mechanics that enhance game narration and aesthetics.

This report is reflection of personal experience and over 40 interviews with top narrative experts of the industry conducted as part of the bigger project. We will discuss what hints and tips are used by many interviewed Narrative designers, what software is their favorite and why, what books do they advice to use and what do they advice to colleagues the industry. Together we will discuss insights and learn from industry veterans.

Game designer and narrative designer since 1996. Is PhD, LLM, MPsych. Works in Bajka Games studio and at A little Bit Different Studio, Research Fellow at European Humanities University. He worked on many tabletop, larp and video games. Among them such titles as: Eastern Frontier: 1581; It Lurks Below; RhyDin; Lands of Evermore; Vampires the Masquerade: St. Louis by Night Online; Chernobylite 1-2; Proze; Replaced; Raccoon Mania; Green City Harvest, etc. Author of books and articles.
