Visitor Rules of the Venue
1. Definitions for the purposes of the Visitor Rules. Kongresové centrum Praha, a.s. (hereinafter referred to as “KCP”) refers to the premises of the congress building at 5. května 1640/65, Nusle 140 21 Prague 4.
2. Rules for entering and moving around the KCP. Visitors agree to comply with these Visitor Rules. Visitors to KCP are also required to respect generally binding rules of decent behaviour and good manners during their stay at KCP, i.e. above all decency and consideration, and are required to refrain from any manifestations of interpersonal, racial, religious or political intolerance. Visitors to the KCP are also obliged to follow the instructions of the Organiser at the venue and the instructions of other authorised persons who are duly identified (organising service, fire brigade, etc.).
3. Prevention of damage. Every person entering the KCP is obliged to behave in such a way as to avoid damaging the KCP, its equipment or the property or health of other persons, and is also obliged to maintain cleanliness and order in the KCP and its surroundings. Anyone who notices a defect in the KCP premises or equipment that threatens the safety of persons or a defect that threatens damage to property is obliged to report such a defect immediately to the relevant organising service (the Organiser).
4. Refusal of entry or removal from the KCP. The operator reserves the right to refuse entry or remove any person who does not comply with the regulations and rules applicable to their stay at the KCP or whose behaviour is deemed inappropriate (e.g. assaulting another visitor or other person, racially motivated chanting, obstructing the view of other visitors, unreasonable harassment of other visitors, etc.). Any person clearly under the influence of alcohol or drugs will not be admitted to the KCP or will be removed from the KCP premises without compensation. Furthermore, any person whose behaviour gives rise to suspicion of committing any of the criminal offences listed in Act No. 40/2009 Coll., the Criminal Code, as amended, or an administrative offence, will be removed from the KCP, in which case the Operator or Organiser may call the Czech Police. This applies in particular to acts by which a person:
- intentionally or negligently causes or increases a general danger or makes it more difficult to avert or mitigate it,
- offers visitors narcotic or psychotropic substances
- seduces visitors into abusing addictive substances other than alcohol
- intentionally or negligently causes or increases the danger of introducing or spreading a contagious human disease
- uses violence against a group of visitors or individuals or threatens them with bodily harm
- publicly defames a nation, language, ethnic group or race, political beliefs, religion, etc.
- publicly incites hatred towards a nation, ethnic group, race, religion or class
- publicly spreads alarmist reports (e.g. reports the presence of explosives without reason or calls for help without reason, etc.)
- commits gross indecency or disorderly conduct, e.g. by disrupting an organised sporting event, attacking an individual or group of visitors, etc.
- intentionally or negligently causes serious injury to another visitor
- uses violence against another visitor with the intention of seizing another person's property
- destroys, damages or renders unusable any property in the KCP, thereby causing damage to another person's property
5. ZTP/P. The KCP building is wheelchair accessible. Special rules apply to ZTP/P ticket holders in the case of cultural events held in the Congress Hall, where special seats are reserved for wheelchair users on the basis of purchased tickets.
6. Ticket. Each visitor is required to present a ticket for inspection upon entering the KCP if their stay on the premises of the KCP is based on the purchase and proper presentation of a ticket; each visitor is required to have their own ticket (including small children), unless the organiser of the event specifies otherwise. The ticket to the KCP is valid exclusively for the specified day, time, event, venue and hall, row and seat indicated on it, unless the Organiser makes a change. Visitors are not entitled to watch the event from a place other than the one for which they have purchased a ticket. The ticket is valid only if it is unaltered, undamaged and complete. Visitors are required to have their ticket with them at all times while at the KCP and are required to present a valid ticket upon request by the relevant Authorised Person, otherwise they may be removed from the KCP without entitlement to a refund or re-entry. The ticket is a security document, and its counterfeiting and alteration is prohibited; any additional modifications will render the ticket invalid. Complaints regarding tickets will be handled by the ticket seller and the organiser.
7. Change and cancellation of the event. In the event of cancellation of the event, the Event Organiser is responsible for refunding the admission fee.
8. Liability for damages. In the event of injury to any person, anyone who observes this fact is obliged to notify the Authorised Person or the Operator. The Operator is not liable for damage caused to the property and health of visitors if caused by third parties or force majeure. Visitors are liable for any damage they cause, and this damage will be recovered from them in accordance with applicable and effective legal regulations.
9. Entry checks:
- Security gates and hand-held metal detectors may be used at the entrance to the event.
- It is not permitted to bring your own alcohol into the KCP building.
- Entry with weapons is strictly prohibited and persons carrying such items will not be admitted.
- We ask for your cooperation with the security service and compliance with instructions when checking personal belongings.
10. Prohibition on bringing dangerous items:
- Any weapons, sharp objects, explosives, pyrotechnics or other dangerous items are not permitted.
- Items that may endanger the safety of other visitors or organisers will be confiscated on site, temporarily stored in a safe place and returned after the event.
- The organiser may, in agreement with the operator, further specify which other specific items may not be brought into the premises for a particular event, usually by stating this in the organiser's instructions.
11. Consumption of food in the KCP. Only food and beverages purchased in the KCP may be consumed in the KCP, and only in designated areas. At some events, bringing food and beverages into the auditorium is strictly prohibited.
12. Assistance animals. Visitors are not allowed to enter the KCP with animals, except for assistance and guide dogs (upon request by an Authorised Person, proof of assistance/guide dog training must be presented at the entrance check).
13. Prohibition of open flames. The use of open flames is prohibited in the KCP.
14. Use of visitor records. Every person entering the KCP acknowledges that, without further notice, their image may be used as part of any video recording, broadcast or reproduction of the event for commercial or promotional purposes, as part of the display of the entire event or part of the event in connection with the KCP, the event organiser and its contractual partners (e.g. sponsors). Even in such a case, however, such a person has rights under applicable law, in particular Act No. 89/2012 Coll., as amended, whereby the rights of data subjects in relation to the protection of personal data are set out in the Information Memorandum on the Processing of Personal Data. More information here: Information Memorandum on GDPR
15. Lost and found. Every person entering the KCP is obliged to hand over any items found in the KCP to the Operator at personnel entrance no. 11, to the Authorised Person, to the Organiser or to the Czech Police.
16. Left-behind items. The Operator and Organiser accept no responsibility for left-behind items, loss of items or their theft by other persons, with the exception of items taken into safekeeping by the Operator or Organiser in areas specifically designated for this purpose (e.g. cloakrooms).
17. CCTV (camera recordings). All KCP premises are monitored by a camera system for the purpose of increasing security and protecting property.
18. Evacuation. In the event of an evacuation of the KCP building, every person present in the building at that time is obliged to comply with the rules set out in the Fire Alarm Directive, a copy of which is posted on each floor of the KCP building in the required number, and to follow the instructions of the authorised persons directing the evacuation. A map of evacuation exits is posted in the KCP premises alongside the Fire Alarm Directive.
19. Prohibition of promotion of political parties and movements. Every person entering the KCP or the area around the KCP is obliged to comply with the prohibition of promotion of political parties, movements and associations in the KCP and its surroundings, unless otherwise agreed with the Operator.
20. Prohibition of smoking. Smoking, including electronic cigarettes and similar devices, is prohibited throughout the interior of the KCP in accordance with applicable law.
21. Visitors' obligation to comply with requests. If a visitor to the KCP fails to comply with the authorised instructions within the meaning of this paragraph, the Operator is entitled (in particular through the Authorised Person) to remove the visitor who has violated the ZOZ and who has failed to comply with the relevant requests of the Authorised Person or any of the KCP staff from the KCP premises without compensation, or to request the municipal police or the Police of the Czech Republic to intervene in order to remove the visitor from the KCP without compensation.
22. Application of the Visiting Rules to other persons. These Visiting Rules also apply mutatis mutandis to spectators or visitors to the KCP who enter the KCP as spectators on the basis of a document other than a ticket (e.g. on the basis of a strip), unless the Organiser and the Operator agree otherwise.
23. Relationship between the Visitor Rules and the Organiser's Instructions. The Organiser's Instructions supplement the Visitor Rules.
