Rules for participation in GDS

Please understand that certain rules must be established for GDS and that compliance with these rules is required in the interests of the safety and satisfaction of participants. The rules are established in accordance with the rules set by the Fire and Rescue Service of the Czech Republic, the Police of the Czech Republic, the Municipal Police, the Municipal Authority and the building owner.

Thank you for your cooperation and compliance with the rules of participation.

Basic rules

If the Rules for Participation in the Game Developers Session Prague Festival conflict with the Rules for Visitors to the Prague Congress Centre, the Rules for Participation in the Game Developers Session Prague shall apply. Participants are required to:

Familiarise themselves with the rules of participation set by the event organiser and the owner of the Prague Congress Centre building, familiarise themselves with the terms and conditions of the services used, and comply with them.

By purchasing a ticket and services, the event participant undertakes to comply with the rules of participation and the terms and conditions of the services used and is aware that serious or repeated violations of the rules of participation will result in exclusion from the event without refund. The organisers are not liable for damage to the property or health of participants, especially if caused by failure to comply with the rules of participation and safety.

Respect and immediately comply with the instructions of the event organisers and Prague Congress Centre staff.

In the event of a dispute between a participant and the Organiser or a Prague Congress Centre employee regarding the interpretation of the rules, the decision of the Game Developers Session Prague production manager shall be final and cannot be appealed.

Comply with fire and safety regulations.

Persons under the age of 15 are only allowed to participate if accompanied by a responsible adult (parent, sibling, relative, teacher, group leader, etc.) or with the written consent of their legal guardians.

Lighting fires and using gas and electrical appliances that generate heat is strictly prohibited anywhere in the building.

Smoking is only permitted in designated areas of the Prague Congress Centre.

It is forbidden to connect your own electrical equipment to sockets without the organiser's permission.

Please use the cloakroom and do not leave your luggage and belongings unattended – this is to keep the way clear in case of evacuation, to protect your property, and for safety reasons.

Animals are not allowed at Game Developers Session Prague, regardless of species and size, with the exception of assistance dogs.

ALWAYS wear your wristband and actively show it to GDS staff and the Organiser EVERY time you pass through the entrance.

Participants are required to undergo a detailed ticket inspection in case of doubt by the Organiser or Prague Congress Centre staff. We recommend that you bring proof of identity.

The ticket is valid for the specified day, time, event and venue, which will be replaced during accreditation with a wristband that entitles the holder to repeated entry.

Do not disturb others.

Throughout the festival, participants are required to respect other participants and maintain order and peace in the building, its immediate and wider surroundings, and on the way to their accommodation.

During the programme, participants are obliged not to disturb the authors of the programmes and other participants.

Participants are required to refrain from loud speech and verbal attacks on others.

Participants are required to observe hygiene rules, use the showers in the accommodation facilities and deodorant, and change their clothes, socks and shoes so that others are not bothered by odours from their mouth, body and especially their feet and shoes.

When communicating with Prague Congress Centre staff, organisers and other participants, participants are required to observe the principles of decent behaviour.

Those leaving the room or building have priority. It is forbidden to sit, stand or otherwise linger in passageways, on staircases, etc.

Clean up and sort rubbish, keep the place clean.

Participants are required to maintain as much order as possible. Rubbish belongs in the bin.

Participants are required to thoroughly sort rubbish into empty and crushed PET bottles and plastic cups, dry paper and other waste into the appropriately marked bins.

Do not damage the equipment. Keep an eye on your own belongings.

Participants are required to refrain from any behaviour that could result in damage or destruction of the equipment of the Prague Congress Centre, the Organiser, their partners and other participants. Participants bear full financial responsibility for any damage they cause.

Lost items can be collected at the festival reception. We recommend that you do not bring valuable items to the festival and do not leave them unattended. The Organisers are not responsible for any theft.

Follow the rules for taking photographs, filming, and making video and audio recordings.

It is prohibited to bring in professional recording equipment or take photographs, make video and audio recordings for journalistic, promotional or commercial purposes without prior accreditation from the Organiser.

Photography, filming and recording of images and sound are permitted within the time frame and for the purpose of stories and reels for personal and fan purposes, with the following exception. For this purpose, it is permitted to bring recording equipment without tripods, lighting, etc. It is prohibited to film or stream entire programmes, the course of the event, etc.

Exception: filming or streaming, the course of the event, etc. is permitted during the first 5 minutes after the start of the programme and the last 5 minutes before the end of the programme.

Comply with the laws of the Czech Republic, other legal norms and municipal regulations.

In particular, we draw your attention to the need to comply with the age limit of 18 years for alcohol consumption. We remind those over 18 years of age of their responsibility not to order alcohol for younger friends. Obvious intoxication is a violation of the rules of participation.

Copying of materials protected by copyright law is prohibited on the premises of the event.

By participating in the Game Developers Session Prague event, visitors express their consent to the taking of photographs and audio and audio-visual recordings of themselves. These photographs, audio and audio-visual recordings may be used by the organiser for any advertising, promotional and similar purposes, free of charge.
